How Can I Get A Quote For Artificial Grass?

One of the great things about my job is that I get to meet some lovely people from all walks of life and all ages. I was in my 20’s when I started my own business and I admit that I struggled with how to talk to customers. I knew I could do the job but how could I put that over in the right way.

Well I’m older now and hopefully I know a bit more about customer needs.

I believe the main thing customers want is information. Not be sold to, not to be told it will change their lives forever and that they should have it straight away. They just need good old fashion facts.

The reason for this is because the first thing customers need to know is whether the artificial grass will suit their needs.

There are many reasons why customers may think about having artificial grass. For years I remember how we all moaned that kids wouldn’t get off of their computers and go outside to get some fresh air. Now they destroy our lawns with their footballs or with their bikes and then they track the mud in to the house.

Then there are the dogs who leave patches on your lawn with their constant peeing as well as also bringing in the mud all year long. We used to have two dogs and what seemed to be a mountain of towels which were on a constant rotation through the washing machine.  Still they were worth it, just maybe not at 6 o’clock in the morning when it was throwing it down.

Maybe you’re also thinking of artificial grass due to age or a disability, then the most common reason “time”.  Work commitment’s, kid clubs and hobbies all mean that we want our gardens to work for us and not to work against us.

We are happy to feed the birds, water the plants and do a bit of weeding but for lots of us maintaining the lawn becomes a chore and can stop us from spending family time in the garden.

Now as I have said many times before, I love a real grass lawn and I would never suggest to anyone who loves their lawn that they should rip it up and lay an artificial grass lawn. Having artificial grass however, is an option that you may wish to look at. Just like you have to think about what size and type of patio you might want or whether you want flowers beds and if so what size?

Where do you start when trying to get a quote to have artificial grass?

Choosing a contractor generally comes down to few different things. You might want to check them out online, ask friends and family for recommendations and of course make sure they are members of the Trading Standards “ Buy with Confidence” Scheme. This is a scheme where Trading Standards check that the contractor is running their business responsibly.

With that said, how do you get a quote from Love It Lawns?

The first thing is to get you booked in for an appointment. We have several options but the best way is to give us a call on 01489 789009 and someone in the Office will get you booked in.

You can also email us on info@loveitlawns.co.uk or fill the form out on our website.

You can also look us up on Social Media, Facebook or Instagram.

Another good way to make an appointment is to pop in to our warehouse unit in Hedge End. At the same time you can have a look at our grasses and have a chat about your installation. This can all be done before we come out and do a Site Survey.  This visit will also give you a chance to think of any questions you may wish to ask us during our visit.

Next will be the visit to see what you would like done. This will be done by either myself or my colleague.

Now for a bit of background information. Originally I started out as a Groundsman but thirty years ago I decided to start a landscaping business.

My colleague joined me in 2004 having also owned their own garden maintenance business.

A few years later we were asked to install some artificial grass and that was it. Six months after that Love it Lawns was born. We have never looked back.

I guess the reason for mentioning this is that there really isn’t much that we haven’t seen or come across in our line of work. Hopefully we can answer any questions you may have from the ground works to choosing the right grass. This doesn’t mean however, that we don’t come across the odd head scratcher.

When we arrive we will bring along eight samples of our most popular artificial grasses. Some will have different lengths and softness, others will be more suitable for kids and some for dogs.

We will also have groundwork samples of base materials and of edgings. We can also discuss any drainage requirements that you may have. Hopefully, by the end of our visit, you should have all the information that you require about the installation process.

Having spoken to you about your requirements, we will then measure up and take photographs of the installation. At this point it may be worth mentioning that there is probably no way that you are going to remember everything that we have spoken to you about. Don’t worry the quotation that we will send and/or email to you will have all of the information that we will have discussed.

Your Quote

Within your quote there will be a detailed list that describes your installation along with the price and the deposit to be paid.

Your quotation will also include a link that will enable you to go and check out our Terms & Conditions.

Yes I know. ’Who reads the T’s & C’s?’, We would like to think it would be you.

Whoever you get to quote for an installation and whoever you chose to finally carry out your install please make sure that you get a quote and not an estimate. You MUST also check out their Terms and Conditions.

Why is that?  Well it’s a great way to remember what we had spoken about during our visit to your home.

Also points that you may not have thought about but would now like more information on will be included. Think of it as more information on your install rather than those boring old T’s & C’s.

Plus it means that we don’t have to come back and correct issues that should not have arisen had the customer checked the T’s & C’s that were supplied.

So if this sounds like the sort of thing you are looking for, then please don’t hesitate to contact us so that we can help transform your outside space.
