Love It Lawns – Terms & Conditions
General
- Love It Lawns provides landscaping services including but not limited to artificial grass installation, real turf installation, patios, retaining walls, pathways and general hard landscaping.
- A full site survey will normally be carried out prior to providing a written quotation.
- The quotation provided will include all agreed materials, labour and VAT unless otherwise stated.
- Prices quoted remain valid for 3 months from the date of quotation.
- Any additional works, goods or services not detailed in the quotation will be chargeable. These will always be discussed and agreed with the customer prior to commencement.
- Once an installation date has been agreed in writing, the customer must ensure the site is available for work to proceed.
- Love It Lawns will endeavour to keep all agreed installation dates. However, delays may occur due to weather conditions, late deliveries or previous jobs overrunning. Customers will be notified at the earliest opportunity if this occurs.
- Prior to our arrival the customer must ensure: Parking is available for a van and trailer and that access to the garden is clear for wheelbarrows and machinery.
- The customer must inform Love It Lawns of any underground servicessuch as electrical cables, water pipes, drainage pipes or similar within the working area. Love It Lawns will attempt to identify these during the site visit but cannot accept liability for damage if not previously disclosed.
- The customer shall provide reasonable access to water and electricity, where required, at no charge.
Deposits, Charges and Payments
- Deposits
No work will be accepted or scheduled without a 20% depositof the total project price unless otherwise agreed. - Deposit Payment Methods
Deposits may be paid via: Bank transfer or Debit or credit card - All deposits are non-refundable
As your artificial grass installation, cut grass order, and landscaping work are all treated as bespoke services. Once grass has been cut to size or materials and labour allocated for your installation, the order is considered bespoke and the deposit cannot be returned.
- Pricing Adjustments
Love It Lawns reserves the right to increase prices prior to delivery if:
- The customer requests changes to the scope of work.
- There are delays caused by customer instructions or lack of information.
- Stage Payments
For larger projects, Love It Lawns reserves the right to operate a stage payment schedule. Where applicable, the payment schedule will be detailed within the quotation or agreed in writing before work commences. Stage payments become due upon completion of the agreed stages of work, with the final balance payable on completion of the project. - Ownership of Materials
Ownership of materials remains with Love It Lawns until payment is received in full. - Final Payment
Full payment of the remaining balance is required on the day of completionand may be made by: Cash, Cheque, Debit or credit card or Bank transfer (BACS) - All prices are inclusive of VAT at the current rate, unless otherwise stated.
Installation Cancellations
- Customers have the right to cancel accepted work within 14 days of acceptanceby providing written notice via email or letter.
- If installation is scheduled within the 14-day period, acceptance of the work confirms the customer waives their cancellation rights.
- If cancellation takes place within 14 days of the scheduled installation date, the artificial grass, paving, and any other materials ordered for the project will be charged at the full retail price and delivered.
- Any artificial grass orders that have been cut to size but not dispatched cannot be cancelled.
Installation Guarantee
- All installation work carried out by Love It Lawns is guaranteed for 2 yearsagainst faulty workmanship directly attributable to our installation.
- This guarantee excludes damage caused by: Natural ground movement, Storm damage or extreme weather, Lack of maintenance or Customer misuse or accidental damage
- The installation guarantee does not cover existing or future drainage problems.
Love It Lawns installs the correct base and materials for artificial grass and landscaping works but cannot guarantee resolution of pre-existing drainage issues.
Artificial Grass – Product Information
Due to the nature of artificial grass manufacturing and installation:
- Grass may appear creased or flattened when rolled. These will normally settle within approximately three months after installation.
- Artificial grass seams may occasionally be visible due to the structure of the material. Love It Lawns will use reasonable efforts to minimise seam visibility, but seam visibility is not covered under guarantee.
- Artificial grass may flatten or crush in high traffic areasdepending on use. This is normal and not considered a fault.
- Artificial grass supplied from different manufacturing batches may vary slightly in colour. Love It Lawns will supply the same batch for a single order where possible.
- Colours may vary slightly from samples or promotional images due to printing and screen limitations.
- All artificial grasses supplied are covered by the manufacturer’s UV anti-fade guarantee (details available on request).
Usage Recommendations
- Protect heavy step-down areas by placing a paving slab or stepping stone.
- Move heavy items such as football goals, trampolines, tables and chairsperiodically to ensure even wear.
- Brush flattened areas using a stiff broomto revive fibres.
Reflective Heat Damage
Decorative mirrors, glass features or reflective surfaces may intensify sunlight and scorch artificial grass. Damage caused by reflected heat is not covered under guarantee.
Maintenance
Artificial grass requires basic maintenance including occasional brushing, removal of leaves and debris and treatment of weeds or moss if they appear – Love It Lawns cannot guarantee weeds will never appear on the surface or around the edges of the artificial grass. If weeds or moss do appear these can be removed safely either manually or using any domestic weed killer.
Pet Use
Where dogs use the lawn, we suggest at least weekly cleaning with a pet-safe artificial grass cleaner to help minimise odours. Whilst we can never guarantee this will completely remove all odours it will help reduce any.
Landscaping & Hard Materials
- Natural materials such as stone, timber and pavingmay display variations in colour, texture or pattern.
- Wood is a natural product and may:
- Split
- Warp
- Expand or contract due to weather conditions.
- Extreme weather conditions may affect some materials such as terracotta or natural stone. Protection and maintenance are the customer’s responsibility after installation.
- Love It Lawns uses reputable suppliers but cannot guarantee the long-term performance of materials once installed and exposed to environmental conditions.
Real Turf Installations
- Once installed, the care and maintenance of natural turf becomes the responsibility of the customer.
- New turf requires regular watering and maintenanceuntil established.
- Love It Lawns cannot guarantee the survival or condition of turf due to:
- Drought
- Frost
- Heavy rain
- Wind
- Poor maintenance
- We cannot accept responsibility for:
- Insect infestations such as Leatherjackets
- Weed growth after installation
- Great care is taken to remove visible weeds and roots during site preparation.
Ground Conditions & External Factors
Love It Lawns cannot be held liable for issues caused by factors outside of our control including:
- Existing drainage problems
- Natural ground movement or subsidence
- Previously excavated ground (e.g. new build properties within 3 years)
- Invasive plants such as:
- Japanese knotweed
- Bamboo
- Mare’s tail
- Tree roots or bulbs
- Damage caused by animals including:
- Badgers
- Moles
- Rodents
- Foxes
- Domestic pets
- Repairs for these issues will be chargeable.
Artificial Grass Supply-Only Orders
- Customers are responsible for ensuring all measurements and quantities are correctbefore ordering.
- Artificial grass is cut to length and therefore cannot be replaced or refunded if ordered incorrectly.
- Full payment is required at the time of orderingbefore cutting or dispatch.
- Delivery is provided as a one-person delivery service; therefore, assistance may be required to unload large items.
- Delivery dates are estimates only and Love It Lawns cannot be liable for delays.
Transport Damage
Customers must inspect goods on delivery and notify Love It Lawns within 24 hours of any transport damage, ideally with photographs.
Returns
Faulty goods must be reported within 7 days of delivery. Where confirmed faulty, replacement or refund will be provided. Bespoke cut items can only be returned if faulty.
Force Majeure
Neither Love It Lawns nor the customer shall be liable for delays or failure to perform obligations due to events beyond reasonable control including but not limited to:
- Acts of God
- Strikes
- Accidents
- War
- Fire
- Machinery breakdown
- Government actions
- Extreme weather conditions
- Supply chain delays
Where such events occur, a reasonable extension of time will apply.
Data Protection
No personal information is stored on the Love It Lawns website. Any information submitted via the website contact form is sent directly to the Love It Lawns email system and used only for communication relating to the enquiry.
