So it’s the 1st of February 2019 and as I look out the window it’s snowing. Now if I was sat in a bar overlooking the Alps then great but i’m not, i’m sat here looking at a forecourt full of vans. Lol!!
Anyway, while sat here trying to figure out why life dealt me a forecourt and not a beautiful sunset over the Alps I got to thinking about some of the things customers look for in a company.
One of the most common sentences I hear is “We wanted to deal with a local company”. To be honest when i’m looking for a trade i’m exactly the same, but what is local??
When I had some plastering done, Dale came from Totton, just the other side of Southampton, so a 30 minute drive away but for Love It Lawns we buy our grass from Belgium, Spain and The Netherlands.
I guess what i’m saying is that when it’s something personal we like to know the people we are dealing with are close by, only a short phone call away should we need anything.
I’ve always liked the personal touch that’s why we have a showroom in Fair Oak and a warehouse unit in Hedge End, that way our customers can pop in anytime for a chat, if you’ve got any questions there’s always someone at the end of the phone.
I’m not sure why people say they OFFER a SERVICE, it makes it sound like they’re doing people a favour, surely it doesn’t need a word to say, we’re here for whatever we can do for you.
Hang on I think i’m back on the Alps again and going of Piste!!
There is little point in asking us to do work in Manchester, that’s silly because I won’t be able to give you the help I would like to, but if I can get to you in let’s say within an hour to an hour and a half that makes more sense. The largest amount of our work is done in Southampton, Portsmouth, then going over to Chichester and the surrounding areas. Petersfield is always a nice place to work along with Winchester too. Basingstoke and Andover, with their new housing developments has become a regular trip for our installation teams, Salisbury is a great cathedral city and worth a visit and our teams always love a trip to Bournemouth, but that’s because of the ice cream!!
Anyway if you want some artificial grass, from a company that has a local company attitude give us a ring.
P.S If you do own a place in the Alps we are happy to call ourselves your local company, just saying!!
